A new beginning!

I am excited to begin what might be the first music therapy blog based in the State of Maine.
I hope to be a resource to many families who have children, adults and the elderly with disabilities and mental health issues.

It is a rainy stormy day on the coast of Maine but in spite of the weather I look forward to this new beginning as a way to connect with people far and wide who might have little or no access to information and updates about the clinical, developmental and rehabilitative field of music therapy.

In addition I look forward to sharing information about my many international experiences and two unique and important music therapy  projects I have been central in the development of , one in Saint Petersburg, Russia and the other in Kyoto, Japan.

If there are specific topics relating to music therapy,  disabilities or mental health that you would like more information about, please share your comments and I will respond in  a future post. Or, if you have a specific situation where you think music therapy might be of help please post a comment and I will respond.

Finally, I look forward to new contacts and new beginnings thru this blog and hope to be a resource for many.

Alan, This is a great addition to the wonderful work you are already doing in the field of Music Therapy. I look forward to following your commentary.

Hey Alan, this will be great! I like the idea of blogging because it gives everyone an equal chance to participate.....and offers as much time as needed to ask questions and think through responses. I will share your blog with others in your field and mine.
Will continue to follow!
